Cool small historic towns in spain between toledo and zaragoza?
I'm backpacking traveling by bus and an occasional ride... I'm picking a train in lisbon to toledo, and then in zaragoza to barcelona which is mt final objective... In between i'd like to taste deep spain ...

Cuenca (small city). Pastrana, Siguenza, Molina de Aragon are a few. Go via Cuenca -- nice part of Spain not that well visited.

I was going to say Cuenca, too. There's some very pretty parks in the province, as well. Cascadas, VERY pretty!

DEFINETLEY SALAMANCA! love that place. Home to the historic university. And is a great renaisance city
