What cool old military forts arein the Toledo, Ohio area?
I'm willing to travel a bit. Need to be open to the public, and open on Wednesday mornings.

Check out the Fort Mieg's Historic Site in Perrysburg, OH: http://www.fortmeigs.org/ There is also Old Fort Steuben: http://www.oldfortsteuben.com/ Have fun!

in addition to those already listed, you can also visit fort wayne in michigan ( about a 45 minute drive)

Honestly, live in Perrysburg and neither of those Forts are cool. I mean there's nothing to them. I'm not trying to dicourage you from going, just figured I would give you the skinny.
