Trying to book the cheapest, possible way from Toledo, OH to Boston, MA...?
I'm trying to get my friend to come visit me from Toledo, OH, but because it's the holidays, money is tight so I'm trying to find the cheapest way possible. He would be leaving Toledo on Saturday, December 12 (I know, realllly short notice) and he would have to leave Boston on Thursday, December 17. I tried Amtrak, and those aren't too expensive, but I was wondering if anyone has travelled along that route a different way, or anything cheaper than $100 each way. Thank you so much for your help!

Greyhound will sell you a "Discovery Pass", 7 days for $199. http://www.discoverypass.com/ That will probably be the cheapest. But there are scary people on the busses. Be very careful, keep an eye on all your stuff. Good luck, I hope you figure something out! :-)

AmTrak is a good choice, and probably the cheapest. Air travel is also a possibility. Southwest Airlines has a Cleveland-Boston/Boston-Cleveland limited availability airfare for $89 each way ($99.20 with taxes).
