how can I get the cheapest air fare for multiple destinations travel ...?
is it better to seek a travel agent or just use a website like orbitz or kayak... at least i need to go to chicago dayton toledo new Jersey even Texas for interviews ! thanks.. these are medical residency programs interviews ..they do not pay for travel ... I am thinking to seek AAA do you have any experince with them ?

Most major corporations have recruiting agents who arrange travel for the person they are to interview with. Have you spoken with the person in charge of your interview to see if they would pay for your flights? In the event they are willing to pay for your flights, ask them if they have an in-house travel department you could call make the reservations and ask if the hotel and car would be direct billed as well to the company interviewing you. If not, call a travel agent to see what the best fare would be. American Express Travel is very reputable/quick and efficient in handling multiple cities travel. Good luck to you! So... for air you might arrive CHI (which checks both O'Hare and Midway), take Megabus to Toledo and rent a hotel room 1-2 days, rent a car to drive down to Dayton and back, fly onward from Toledo or bus back to Chicago for flight to Newark (NYC checks Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK), then from NYC fly to Texas, then Texas back to home.
